The company supports and assists consumers in their home-buying journey, from searching home, finalising, commercial transaction till final closure.
For Indian consumers to with the objective of making home buying process transparent and smooth, In 2011he has co-founded PropTiger.com . From success of this brand, acquired Housing.com, Makaan.com, Out of Box Interactions, 3DPhy, and FastFox to expand its presence in the digital real estate domain.
Agarwala set his eyes on the disorganised real estate market in India and looked to put it in order by taking it digital. Today, he is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at REA India, the parent company to Housing, Proptiger and Makaan, that brings buyers, sellers and brokers from across the country onto one platform
In 2006, he left corporate job to start the entrepreneurial journey. It was instinctive decision made by Dhruv, which he made after dreaming things he wanted to achieve over the next decade.
In October 2021, he had health emergency and admitted into hospital having a heart attack symptom, but it turned out to be a case of heartburn.
He was prediabetic, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and was also dignosed with sleep apnea. Long working hours, high stress levels, not exercising and unhealthy eating habits made him obese, and gain weight of 151.1 kg.
This incident served as a wakeup call for him to take control of his health. At 151.7 kilograms, he decided to embark on a transformative journey
Acknowledging the Need for Change, Recognizing the Impact of Unhealthy Food Habits, Making the Decision to Prioritize Personal Health
Speaking to South China Morning Post, he shared how he lost almost half of his weight in two years. With a regimen of walking, strength training, reduced food intake, and abstaining from alcohol, he lost 71.1 kilograms within two years, achieving his goal weight of 80.6 kilograms by February 2023.
Dhruv was active in sports but due to unhealthy habits he has gained lot of weight during his career. He decided to transform with three strength training sessions per week along with walking and hiking. His inspiration came from tennis star Roger Federer’s physique, committed to achieving a similar weight.
Despite facing challenges and occasional lack of motivation, Dhruv visualized the benefits of a healthier lifestyle. He adjusted his diet, focusing on healthier food choices, reducing his calories intake to less than 1,700 calories per day. He replaced fried foods with protein-rich meals and eliminate alcohol for 18 months.
And encouraged by compliments and increased energy levels, he embraced running and swimming to further enhance his fitness.
With his family’s support, mainly with his wife Upasana, by continuously raising his fitness goals, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and self-belief he has sustained the weight loss journey

However, by November 2021, he ceased all medication and witnessed normalized levels of cholesterol and blood pressure. Furthermore, he no longer required the use of a sleep apnea machine and no longer exhibited prediabetic conditions.
